Chinese-Australian Artist, Jim Chen, hired Yvonne Perkins to write exhibition labels and collateral material for his exhibition that was part of Sydney’s ‘Head On Photo Festival’. Yvonne started the assignment by learning more about Jim’s art to ensure that she faithfully conveyed his artistic intent. She decided that a poetic form of writing best reflected the concepts the artist was communicating in the photos.
